TV Anime "The Summer Hikaru Died" Season 2 Announced! Comments from Original Creator, Cast, and Staff Arrive

The production of the second season of the TV anime "The Summer Hikaru Died" has been announced.
"The Summer Hikaru Died" is a youth horror story in which ordinary high school student Yoshiki Tsujinaka experiences a series of mysterious incidents in his daily life while living with a mysterious being who imitates his childhood friend Hikaru. Since the broadcast of the first episode on July 5, the anime has received a tremendous response to the sense of fear evoked by its visuals and sound, as well as the storyline. After the release of the second episode, it ranked first on ABEMA’s "Today's Series TOP10" (Japan). It continued to claim the top spot in the weekly anime rankings for three consecutive weeks, achieving great popularity as a much-discussed title in the summer of 2025.
