[Photos/Images] Is Itadori vs. Choso Super Stylish? Anime “Jujutsu Kaisen” Explains Blood Manipulation Using Train Station Signs, Drawing Praise as “Genius” 1st

In Episode 37 of the “Jujutsu Kaisen” anime, a fierce battle unfolds between the protagonist, Yūji Itadori (Junya Enoki), and Choso (Daisuke Namikawa). In particular, the scene where train station information boards are used to explain the technique is being highly acclaimed as the kind of “unique entertainment that only anime can offer.”

The “Shibuya Incident” arc is set around Shibuya Station bustling with Halloween crowds, depicting an unprecedented large-scale battle between jujutsu sorcerers, curse users, and cursed spirits.

Itadori struggles against Choso, who uses a series of different techniques. Then, his ally Mechamaru, or Kokichi Muta (Yoshitsugu Matsuoka), appears and explains Choso’s Blood Manipulation technique. At that moment, the design of the station information boards switches to a graphical explanation of the technique—an impressive directorial choice.

This use of the information boards to provide explanations was well received by viewers, eliciting comments such as “This is genius,” “Great sense of style,” “The explanation using the station boards is really interesting,” and “This is the kind of entertainment that only anime can provide.”
