Awakening in a World 200 Years Later... “Dusk Beyond the End of the World” Episode 1 Synopsis & Preview Images Released

Preview images and a synopsis for Episode 1, “The Woman Who Sailed Her Soul Across the Sea of Stars,” from the TV anime “Dusk Beyond the End of the World” have been revealed.
The story is set in a future world where AI technology has advanced. The protagonist, Akira (voiced by Shūichirō Umeda), who pledged eternal love with his beloved partner, Towasa (voiced by Ai Kayano), awakens from a long period of cold sleep to find a city devastated by war before him. There, an android named Yūgure (voiced by Yui Ishikawa), who closely resembles Towasa, appears and urges Akira to marry her. Although confused, Akira chooses to travel with Yūgure, believing that he will reunite with Towasa—who should still be alive somewhere in the world. Along their journey, the two encounter new forms of love in this new era and begin to reconsider what love means for themselves.
