"Pop Team Epic" Artist Bukubu Okawa Draws Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Character Goods! Eight Unique Items Including a Kiss-Blowing Frieren and a Pouting Fern

Original illustrated merchandise featuring artwork by Bukubu Okawa from "Pop Team Epic" will be available for advance sale at select Bic Camera and Animega × Sofmap locations from Tuesday, September 23, 2025, to Sunday, October 5, 2025.

The anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is based on the manga of the same name, written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, which is currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday. The story is set in the world "after the defeat of the Demon King," following the over-1000-year-old mage Frieren as she embarks on a journey to learn about humanity. The original manga, highly acclaimed and winner of multiple awards, currently spans 14 volumes and boasts over 30 million copies in circulation. Additionally, it has been confirmed that the second season of the TV anime will begin airing in January 2026.

In this collaboration, Bukubu Okawa—known for "Pop Team Epic"—lends his uniquely deformed illustration style to "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" characters, highlighting new aspects of their charm.
