First Exhibition of "Gachiakuta" Announced, to Be Held at Shibuya PARCO from Friday, October 3! Scrapped Material Art Display That Drew Attention at Anime Expo Also Featured

To commemorate the upcoming two consecutive cours of the TV anime adaptation for "Gachiakuta" starting July 2025, the very first exhibition "GACHIACUTA Beginning Exhibition 'DROP'" will be held at Shibuya PARCO.

"Gachiakuta," originally created by Kei Urana (original story) and Hideyoshi Andou (graffiti design), has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine (Kodansha) since 2022 and is a popular manga that has been adapted into an anime. The story depicts Rudo (voiced by Aoi Ichikawa), an orphan boy born in the slums where descendants of criminals live, who battles his way up from the "Abyss," where he was cast down for a crime he did not commit.

At the exhibition, visitors can enjoy side-by-side displays of iconic scenes from the original manga and original anime drawings, animatics, and main footage. Animatics, which are the early-stage rough videos used in anime production, will be shown publicly for the first time, allowing attendees to compare the changes in character movement and direction between the anime and the original manga. Additionally, the waste material art piece inspired by Rudo’s "hand," which attracted attention at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, will be exhibited in Japan for the first time.

Moreover, original merchandise using anime and manga artwork will be available for sale. There will be a wide variety of fan-favorite products, from apparel items like T-shirts and hoodies to goods such as mugs and coin cases.
