Chiikawa Episode 129: Crying Chiikawa, Encouraging Hachiware, and Laid-back Usagi—Three Unique Characters Take On the Big Hunt

The “Big Hunt” arc begins in episode 129 of the anime “Chiikawa.” Overcome by anxiety, Chiikawa (Haruka Aoki) bursts into tears, but is encouraged by Hachiware (Makoto Tanaka). Meanwhile, Usagi (Ari Ozawa) with her usual laid-back attitude chimes in with a “Huh?”—showcasing the unique personalities of the three.

Chiikawa and friends head to their destination from the sky using a tool much like a Take-copter. Upon landing, Hachiware and Usagi get distracted by some unfamiliar mushrooms. Perhaps due to anxiety about the hunt, Chiikawa suddenly starts crying.

To cheer up Chiikawa, Hachiware casually says, “If it seems impossible, we can just retire, right?” encouraging Chiikawa with a relaxed attitude. Meanwhile, Usagi, true to form, goes, “Huh? Huh? Huh?” in her usual nonchalant manner.

As Hachiware tries to psych everyone up—“Anyway, let’s do our best…”—an unsettling “rustle” (“gasa”) sound comes from behind.
