The synopsis and preview stills for Episode 2 of the anime “A Star Brighter Than the Sun” have been released.

“A Star Brighter Than the Sun” is the latest work by Kazune Kawahara, known for numerous media mix adaptations such as “My Love Story!!” (art by Aruko), “High School Debut,” and “Sensei!”. The manga is currently serialized in “Betsuma” (Betsatsu Margaret, Shueisha) and has surpassed a cumulative total of 3.2 million copies in print.

Sae Iwata (voiced by Minori Fujidera), a slightly sturdier-than-average girl, falls in love at first sight with a frail boy, Kōki Kamishiro (voiced by Yūki Ono), whom she meets in elementary school. Now in middle school, Kōki has grown up into a handsome young man, making Sae feel like he is out of reach, but when they reunite at the school sports festival, her first love is rekindled. Even if he's far away, that dazzling star continues to shine upon you. A sparkling first love story depicting awkward yet straight-forward feelings.
