Akira and Yūgure Set Out on a Journey Toward Tokyo… “Dusk Beyond the End of the World” Episode 2 Story Summary & Preview Cuts Released

The preview cuts and synopsis for Episode 2, “In the North Where the End Has Passed,” from the TV anime “Dusk Beyond the End of the World” have been released.

The story is set in a future world where AI technology has greatly advanced. After Akira Himegami (voiced by Shūichirō Umeda), the protagonist who pledged his love to his most beloved partner Towasa Ōmaki (voiced by Ai Kayano), awakens from years-long cold sleep, he finds himself in a city ravaged by war. There, an android named Yūgure (voiced by Yui Ishikawa), who looks exactly like Towasa, appears and proposes marriage to him. Though confused, Akira embarks on a journey with Yūgure, believing he can reunite with Towasa, who must be alive somewhere in the world. Along the way, the two witness new forms of love born in this era, prompting them to reflect on their own relationship.
