[Photos/Images] "Dorohedoro" Anime New Season Set for Near-Simultaneous Worldwide Release in Spring 2026! Chaotic and Pop New Key Visual Unveiled 1st

It has been announced that the new season of the TV anime "Dorohedoro" will be released worldwide in the spring of 2026, with a near-simultaneous launch across the globe. Alongside this announcement, a new key visual has been revealed.

"Dorohedoro," a masterpiece by Q Hayashida that was serialized for 18 years starting in 2000, boasts a unique worldview and shocking, chaotic content, garnering passionate fans both in Japan and internationally. When it was adapted into a TV anime in 2020, the show successfully recreated the “impossible-to-animate” original with remarkable fidelity, capturing attention with its distinctive texture and pacing.

The newly unveiled key visual is an original illustration by Tomohiro Kishi, who continues to handle character design following the first season. The protagonist, Caiman, whose face resembles a lizard, is depicted with his innards exposed like an anatomical model, while around him hang the masks of magicians suspended from meat hooks. While this scene contains shocking elements, at the same time, Caiman's relaxed expression and the vibrant color scheme lend a pop flair, resulting in a truly Dorohedoro-esque sense of “chaos.”

The director, Yuichiro Hayashi, will return from the previous season, with animation production once again handled by MAPPA.
