The anime "Let This Grieving Soul Retire!" is based on a popular light novel series that has surpassed 2.4 million copies in circulation, written by Tsukikage with illustrations by Chyko. It is "the ultimate misunderstanding comedy fantasy" centered around Krai Andrey, who has been elevated to leader of the strongest party, Strange Grief. The TV anime's first season aired in 2024, and the second season began broadcasting in October 2025.

【Synopsis】
A nomination request for Krai arrives from the Gladis family, with whom he competed over a treasure at a recent auction. Though Krai has absolutely no motivation, he has no choice but to accept the request, as failing to meet the Seeker's Guild quota would result in his forced expulsion. Furthermore, there's an approach from Hidden Curse, a grudge from Fallen Mist, and an invitation to the White Blade Gathering... To escape from all these troublesome matters coming one after another, Krai heads off on vacation.
