Comments have arrived from Megumi Ogata, who voices Yuta Okkotsu, and Kana Hanazawa, who voices Rika Orimoto, the voice actors for "Jujutsu Kaisen 0," which began its revival screening on Friday, October 17th.

"Jujutsu Kaisen 0" is a blockbuster hit that recorded 26.5 billion yen in worldwide box office revenue when it was released in 2021. Based on Volume 0 of the manga by original author Gege Akutami, the story depicts a tale of "love and curses" centered around protagonist Yuta Okkotsu.

――What did you keep in mind or value when performing your respective characters?

Ogata: Since Okkotsu's growth rate is so fast, I was constantly thinking about what kind of feeling, at which point, and with what mindset would make it work. If I didn't capture it delicately, I would make mistakes and it would feel like I couldn't proceed to the next scene, so I was trying my best not to deviate and to trace that path.

Hanazawa: Reading the original work, I felt that her family environment wasn't very good, and that she probably treasured her time with Okkotsu-kun so much. Parts where her expressions didn't appear much in the manga, when animated I realized she was smiling like this, and that although she's quite mature, she can show a childlike smile when she's with Okkotsu-kun. While I had prepared things, I received a lot in the moment through the exchanges with Ogata-san.
In any case, (young) Yuta is so cute... the konjac... it's such an endearing scene...
