Chiikawa is a popular manga created by illustrator Nagano, serialized on X (formerly Twitter) since 2020. It won the Grand Prix at the Japan Character Award 2022 and again at the Japan Character Award 2024, announced in July 2024. The blend of tiny, cute characters and a severe worldview has garnered widespread popularity among both adults and children, with its follower count now exceeding 4.3 million.

The new series of the Chiikawa anime is currently airing on Fuji TV's "Mezamashi TV" segment, having started on July 15, 2025. Additionally, the interactive facility "Chiikawa Park" opened at Sunshine City Annex in Ikebukuro on July 28.
