Anime "Kingdom" is based on the hugely popular manga by Yasuhisa Hara, which has surpassed 120 million copies in total circulation. It is an epic historical romance set in China during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, depicting the exploits of Shin, a boy who aims to become a great general under the heavens, and Ei Sei, the young king who would later become the First Emperor of China. The TV anime began broadcasting its first series in 2012, and the fourth live-action film installment "Kingdom: Dai Shogun no Kikan" released in 2024 recorded a box office revenue of 8 billion yen.
Episode 3 "Formation of the Qin Army"
【Synopsis】
A large army has been assembled in the royal capital of Kanyō in preparation for an all-out battle against the Zhao army led by Ri Boku. Shō Hei Kun, the military supreme commander, announces that this battle will be a coalition army battle involving Kan Ki, Yō Tan Wa, and Ō Sen, and the "supreme commander" of all armies is revealed.
Meanwhile, upon receiving news that the Qin army's invasion has begun, Ri Boku orders the army to assemble at the western front castle to meet them. Furthermore, he gives certain advice to Shun Sui Ju, one of his trusted confidants in charge of information gathering.
