How is the Overseas Reaction to the Fall 2025 Anime? Jump Comics Adaptations Dominate the Top Ranks

Trailing the two giants from "Jump" are series such as 'Umamusume: Cinderella Gray' 'May I Ask for One Final Thing? ,' 'Ranma 1/2,' and 'This Monster Wants to Eat Me.'

While the difference in ranking points between each title is small, the series that gathered a significant amount of attention is 'Umamusume: Cinderella Gray' which is in its second cour this season. 'Umamusume' is a cross-media franchise featuring "Horse Girls" inspired by real-life racehorses. 'Shingure' (the short form for Cinderella Gray) is an anime adapted from the comic serialized in "Weekly Young Jump."

The English version of the game 'Umamusume: Pretty Derby' being released for North America and Europe in June of this year has contributed to the heightened attention on the franchise. The fact that Oguri Cap, a character prominent since the game's early days, is the protagonist of 'Shingure' is also likely boosting its momentum.

The overseas reaction shows that anime based on Jump Comics—'HeroAca' (My Hero Academia), 'SPY x FAMILY,' and 'Shingure'—are having a strong start. Since all of these are existing series, the wide recognition likely contributed to their strong initial performance. We should also pay attention to how the anime that have their first season this Fall will perform going forward.
