Episode 3 of the anime The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest, which aired on October 18th, featured the first appearance of the support mage, Loki Silveria (CV: Akira Ishida). He immediately exuded an eccentric quality, even making remarks that threw his own allies off balance, garnering significant attention online with comments like, "I love this funny character," and "His personality is seriously dense."
In Episode 3, "Deadly Battle! 64th Floor Boss!", Alec Yugret (CV: Shuichiro Umeda) and the members of Lasting Period were commissioned to rescue members of the S-Rank party, Scarlet Flower (Rikuroma). As Alec's party advanced through the dungeon infested with the undead, they encountered Loki, a Rikuroma member, frantically running from an enemy while screaming pitifully. Loki eventually tripped, finding himself in a desperate pinch... However, this was all part of the calculated mage's plan. He grinned, and a "trap magic" spell activated beneath the enemy's feet, unleashing a relentless attack.
Afterward, Alec's party joined the fight and successfully defeated the enemy. Upon hearing about Alec's dismissal from the Court Mages, Loki remarked about the court, "What a bunch of fools they are," and immediately analyzed Alec's true capabilities, saying, "You're too good at making the opponent believe you're the most troublesome, yet the easiest to defeat."
Loki then informed them that another undead Floor Boss, besides the one they just defeated, was present on the floor. He handed Alec a weapon, saying, "I'll give you this, Aleckun, so I need you to not use any magic." His comrade, Clasia Annerose (CV: Masumi Tazawa), was suspicious, questioning, "Huh? We're fighting an undead without a physical body. Are you an idiot for telling us not to use magic?" Loki, however, delightedly replied, "It can't be helped, can it? I absolutely love this kind of thing. Deception, trickery, lies, and schemes—villainy is my specialty. So, let's start by thoroughly deceiving our own allies, shall we?" He concluded, "From here, it's my turn. I'm going to take them on dirty and head-on, catching them off guard."
