Surprise "Beauty Transfer" from a Life-Sized Pod! Tokyo Game Show 2025: Smilegate Report

The "Tokyo Game Show 2025" (TGS) was held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture from September 25th to 28th, 2025. This event, one of the world's leading game festivals, features exhibits from numerous domestic and international game makers and related companies.

Exhibitor booths were bustling with fans eager to see new game announcements, try demos, and enjoy various attractions and giveaways. This article reports on the Smilegate booth, one of the main exhibitors, complete with photos of their cosplayers and booth models.

Smilegate showcased two upcoming RPG titles: Chaos Zero Nightmare (hereafter, Chaos Zero) and MIRESI: Invisible Future. Chaos Zero is a dark fantasy set in a desolate world, featuring strategic gameplay that blends roguelike elements with card-based turn combat. Its official service launch is slated for October 22nd. MIRESI is set in an era where time travel is commonplace, characterized by deeply developed characters and a distinct subculture aesthetic.

A standout feature was the colossal, life-sized replica of the "Pod" used to enter "Chaos" in Chaos Zero. Combined with a huge circular LED screen, this served as the booth's centerpiece, drawing massive crowds.It gathered the attention of many visitors as the highlight of the booth, and there was also a surprise performance, such as a cosplayer appearing from inside the teleporter.

The MIRESI booth featured the works of Art Director Hyulla displayed on a large art wall, expressing the game's worldview with stunning visuals. The demo zone offered the first look at the real-time turn-based battle system, which relies on character positioning. The unique mechanic of stopping time to engage in offensive and defensive maneuvers thoroughly captivated attendees.
