The Girl Kōgasaki Saved Becomes a Hostage... Anime "Tougen Anki" Episode 16 Synopsis & Advance Cuts Released

The synopsis and advance cuts for Episode 16 of the anime "Tougen Anki" have been released.

"Tougen Anki" is based on the manga by Yura Urushibara, which is currently serialized in the popular "Weekly Shonen Champion" (Akita Shoten) and has surpassed 4.5 million copies in cumulative circulation. Using the folktale "Momotaro," which every Japanese person knows, as its subject matter, the story depicts the conflict between those who carry the blood of oni (demons) and those who carry the blood of Momotaro.

Shiki Ichinose (CV. Kazuki Ura), a boy who had been living as an ordinary human, is suddenly attacked one day by a mysterious man belonging to the "Momotaro Agency." While fleeing with his adoptive father, he learns that his pursuers carry the blood of "Momotaro" from the folktale, and that he himself carries the blood of "oni" (demons). This is a story of the modern-day descendants of Momotaro and oni—different from the tale of "once upon a time, there lived an old man and an old woman."
