"Chiikawa" is a popular manga posted on X (formerly Twitter) by illustrator Nagano, who began serialization in 2020. It won the Grand Prix at the "Japan Character Award 2022" and the "Japan Character Award 2024" announced in July 2024. The gap between the small and cute characters and the harsh worldview has gained widespread popularity from adults to children, and the follower count has surpassed 4.35 million to date.
The new series of the anime "Chiikawa" is currently airing within "Mezamashi TV" on the Fuji Television network since July 15, 2025. Additionally, on July 28, the experiential facility "Chiikawa Park" opened at Ikebukuro Sunshine City Annex.
