The anime "Kingdom" is based on the hugely popular manga by Yasuhisa Hara, which has surpassed 120 million copies in total circulation. It is an epic romance depicting the activities of Shin (CV: Masakazu Morita), a boy who aims to become a Great General of the Heavens, and Ei Sei (CV: Jun Fukuyama), the young king who would later become the First Emperor, set in China during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States period. The TV anime's first series aired starting in 2012, and the fourth live-action film released in 2024, "Kingdom: Taishogun no Kikan" (Kingdom: The Return of the Great General), recorded box office revenue of 8 billion yen.

Episode 5 "The Siege of Retsubi"
[Synopsis]
The siege of Retsubi Castle by the Mountain People army led by Yō Tan Wa and the Hi Shin Unit has begun. At the signal of Queen Yō Tan Wa's battle cry, the Mountain People army attacks with fierce bravery. While Shin and the others are astonished by their ferocity, Yō Tan Wa, having found a vulnerable point in the castle walls, requests support from the Hi Shin Unit by "skilled archers" in order to send in Bajio, the strongest warrior. Captain Shin entrusts this role to the excellent archer newcomers, the Sō brothers Jin and Tan, but...!?
