The anime "Let This Grieving Soul Retire!" is based on the popular light novel series by author Tsukikage and illustrator Chyko, which has surpassed 2.4 million copies in circulation. It is a "misunderstanding comedy fantasy about the strongest" centering on Krai Andrey, who has been elevated to leader of the strongest party "Strange Grief." The TV anime's first season aired in 2024, and the second season began airing in October 2025.
