"Grim Reaper" Maomao, Jinshi, and Four Others from 'The Apothecary Diaries' Get Halloween Visual Merchandise! New Products Featuring Original Illustrations to Be Released on November 15

New merchandise featuring original illustrations from the TV anime 'The Apothecary Diaries' will be released at Animate stores on November 15, 2025. Additionally, the [TV Anime 'The Apothecary Diaries' Halloween Mystery Fair at Animate] will be held starting on the same day.

'The Apothecary Diaries' is an anime work based on the light novel of the same name by Hyuganatsu. It is a major hit that has also been adapted into manga in two monthly magazines. The series became a huge topic of conversation, gaining popularity for its mystery drama featuring Maomao working as a "poison taster" in the rear palace, as well as the comical interactions between Maomao and Jinshi (CV: Takeo Ōtsuka). The TV anime has been broadcast through its second season, and the third season has been announced for a split two-cour broadcast starting in October 2026 and April 2027. Furthermore, the series' first theatrical film is scheduled to be released in December 2026.

The new products to be released this time feature original illustrations with a Halloween theme of six characters: Maomao, Jinshi, Gaoshun, Basen, Xiaolan, and Shisui, including "Acrylic Stands" and "Clear Files."
