"Chiikawa" is a popular manga that illustrator Nagano has been posting on X (formerly Twitter) since 2020. It won the grand prix at the "Japan Character Awards 2022" and the "Japan Character Awards 2024" announced in July 2024. The gap between the small and cute characters and the harsh world setting has gained widespread popularity from adults to children alike, and the number of followers has surpassed 4.36 million to date.
The new series of the anime "Chiikawa" is currently airing from July 15, 2025, within "Mezamashi TV" on Fuji Television Network. Additionally, on July 28, the experiential facility "Chiikawa Park" opened at Sunshine City Annex in Ikebukuro.
