"Space Sheriff Gavan" Reborn in the Reiwa Era! Successor to the Sunday Morning "Super Sentai Series" Slot, Broadcast Starts in 2026

A new Tokusatsu hero series, "PROJECT R.E.D.," is launching as the successor to TV Asahi's Sunday morning broadcast slot, the "Super Sentai Series." It has been announced that the first installment will be "Super Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity".

The "Super Sentai Series" is part of the children's program block broadcast on TV Asahi on Sunday mornings, known as "Nichiasa." Currently, the series' 50th-anniversary work, "Number One Sentai Gojugger," is airing every Sunday from 9:30 to 10:00 AM.

It has now been revealed that the new Tokusatsu hero series "PROJECT R.E.D." will begin in the "Super Sentai Series" slot starting in 2026. The series name is derived from the initials of "Records of Extraordinary Dimensions," the English translation of "Chou Jigen Eiyuu Tan." As the name suggests, it will be a new Tokusatsu video series featuring "Red Heroes."

"PROJECT R.E.D." is planned for multi-faceted development, including crossovers between various upcoming works to add depth to their respective worldviews.
