Universal Studios Japan has announced that the special event 'Universal Cool Japan 2026,' which allows guests to immerse themselves fully in the "hyper-real" worlds of globally popular entertainment properties originating from Japan, will be held starting Friday, January 30, 2026※1.

This event will bring together five major properties that are currently enjoying immense popularity: "Detective Conan," "Jujutsu Kaisen," "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," the "Masquerade" series based on works by author Keigo Higashino, and "Monster Hunter Wilds."

At Universal Studios Japan, exceptional Japanese-born works brimming with talent are elevated into one-of-a-kind experiences, and their value is communicated both domestically and internationally. 'Universal Cool Japan' has grown into an event that captivates fans from around the world as a "comprehensive theme park experience" that allows guests to enter the worlds of these properties through attractions, original merchandise, entertainment restaurants, and cart food. This past April, "hyper-real experiences" featuring "Jujutsu Kaisen" and others made their international debut, landing in the United States for the first time to great acclaim.

The theater show attraction 'Jujutsu Kaisen: The Real 4-D,' which allows guests to experience the world of "Jujutsu Kaisen" with their entire body through spectacular 3D visuals and special effects that amplify the sense of presence and physical sensation, including vibrations and water splashes, returns with an all-new original story. The TV anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," whose Season 2 begins airing from January 16, 2026, will achieve its first collaboration with the park.
