Eva, Gundam, Hashikan... Pushing-the-Limit Parodies Explode! "GINTAMA - Mr. Ginpachi's Zany Class" Episode 9

Episode 9 of the anime "GINTAMA - Mr. Ginpachi's Zany Class," based on the spin-off novel of the hugely popular manga "Gintama," has been airing sequentially since December 1st. The special ending featured daring homages to characters from famous anime and live-action films, sparking reactions online such as "This is terrible (in a good way)" and "There are so many voice actor references in this ending footage!?"

The "Gintama" series is well-known for frequently featuring parody material that pushes the boundaries of regulation. In Episode 9, "You say the school festival is boring, but you're actually enjoying it, aren't you?", the Gintama High School festival is depicted, and a special ending with characters in costumes was released.

In the ending footage, Kagura (CV: Rie Kugimiya) first appears in a sailor uniform holding a machine gun. Kagura is famously known for being played by actress Kanna Hashimoto in the live-action "Gintama" film. And the combination of a sailor uniform and a machine gun is reminiscent of another film in which Hashimoto starred.

In another scene, Kotarō Katsura (CV: Akira Ishida) plays the piano wearing an outfit similar to the plug suit from the mega-hit anime "Neon Genesis Evangelion." Additionally, Taizō Hasegawa (CV: Fumihiko Tachiki) strikes a pose with both hands clasped in front of his mouth. The voice actors for these two characters, Ishida and Tachiki, voice Kaworu Nagisa and Gendo Ikari respectively in "Neon Genesis Evangelion."

Furthermore, Daisuke Sakaguchi, the voice actor for Shinpachi Shimura, also voices Uso Evin, the protagonist of "Mobile Suit Victory Gundam," and in this ending, there is a cut of Shinpachi being given a shoulder ride by a mobile suit-like robot.
