Shogo Sakamoto and Fu Takahashi Cast as Double Leads to Play Kamado Tanjiro! Stage Adaptation of "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" 6th Installment "Hashira Training" Announced

The 6th installment of the stage adaptation series of "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba," Stage "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" Sono Roku Hashira Training, has been announced for performance in Tokyo in June 2026. The role of the protagonist Kamado Tanjiro will be played by Shogo Sakamoto, continuing from the previous production, along with newcomer Fu Takahashi, in a double cast arrangement.

Stage "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is a theatrical work based on the manga "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" by Koyoharu Gotoge, and has been building the series since its premiere in 2020. This marks the 6th production in the series, and the story depicts the "Hashira Training" arc, where Tanjiro and his companions, having overcome the fierce battle at the Swordsmith Village, undergo rigorous training under the strongest swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps, the "Hashira," in preparation for the battle against their nemesis, Muzan Kibutsuji.

Shogo Sakamoto, who plays Kamado Tanjiro, has appeared in numerous stage productions and musicals including Musical "Touken Ranbu" and the theatrical adaptation "xxxHOLiC," establishing himself as a solid actor while also being active as a singer-songwriter. Meanwhile, Fu Takahashi, newly joining as Tanjiro, is one of the most notable actors currently gaining attention, performing as part of the dance vocal unit "WATWING" while also taking leading roles in productions such as Musical "Jamie" and Musical "Atom."

The script and direction for the 6th production "Stage 'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba' Sono Roku Hashira Training" will continue to be handled by Tsuneyasu Motoyoshi, with music by Shunsuke Wada.

Additionally, it has been announced that Shogo Sakamoto, Shohei Hashimoto, and newcomer Fu Takahashi will appear on the talk stage at the Nelke Planning booth at "Jump Festa 2026" to be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba on December 20, 2025.
