——How did you approach Togame's human aspects?

Hamao: I thought that what I have in common with Togame is not being good at letting things go. Being at the top of Shishitoren, or his feelings toward Choji—I think things would be easier if he gave up, and conversely, he could also become easier by completely following Choji and abandoning his emotions.

Unable to do either, he sees Sakura struggling in the same way and is influenced by him. At first, he gets irritated, but there's probably also something like envy toward being able to express things straightforwardly.

I think that, along with the role, things I felt toward Mizukami (Koshi)-kun (who plays Sakura) probably mixed in as well. This work was our first meeting, but being together during filming, we affected each other, and I think it was very fortunate that we could naturally become Togame and Sakura without forcing it, all the way to the final scene.
