The Ethereal Cosplay of Nino from 'The Quintessential Quintuplets' – The Key Was the "Wig Color"!

The "Ikebukuro Halloween Cosplay Fest 2025" was held from October 24 to 26, 2025. We feature photos of Yuno-san, who participated as Nino Nakano from 'The Quintessential Quintuplets', and interviewed her about the aspects she wanted to express through her cosplay and what cosplays she would like to try in the future.

——What inspired you to cosplay as Nino Nakano from 'The Quintessential Quintuplets' this time?

Yuno-san (hereafter, honorifics omitted): Because she's one of my absolute favorite female anime characters! What I especially love about Nino is that she has a strong core and thinks about the protagonist straightforwardly without compromise. That's so cool, and wanting to become a girl like Nino was what inspired me to cosplay her!

Cosplaying as a character I absolutely love is so much fun, and it really makes me feel like I've actually become Nino.

——What aspects did you pay particular attention to in this cosplay?

Yuno: I was really particular about the wig color. To express Nino's essence, I thought a reddish pink would be good, but I don't think it's necessary to get close to the character in everything. I thought that a color tone with high harmony with my own face would result in higher quality. So for this wig, considering that my skin tone is warm-based, I chose a wig with an orange feel to it!

——Please tell us when you first encountered 'The Quintessential Quintuplets' and what you find appealing about it.

Yuno: I encountered 'The Quintessential Quintuplets' about three years ago! I thought it might be just another harem anime, but the romantic struggles unique to girls were realistically portrayed, and I felt the story quality was quite high! Each character has a strong personality, and I completely fell in love with it!
