'Vigilante' TV Anime Season 2 to Begin Broadcasting on January 5th! Key Visual & Main Trailer Released, OP by THREE, ED by Shytaupe

The TV anime season 2 of 'Vigilante: My Hero Academia Illegals,' the official spinoff work of 'My Hero Academia,' will begin broadcasting on Monday, January 5th, 2026 on TOKYO MX, BS Nippon TV, and Yomiuri TV. Along with this announcement, the key visual, main trailer, opening and ending theme songs, and new cast information have been released.

This work is a series set in the era before "Hero Aca," depicting the activities of unlicensed illegal heroes known as "Vigilantes." The younger appearances of pro heroes who appear in "Hero Aca" have also become a topic of conversation.

The released key visual features the protagonist Koichi at the center, along with the illegal heroes "Vigilantes," the main antagonist of season 2 "The Scarred Man," as well as pro heroes including "All Might," "Shota Aizawa," "Fat Gum," "Best Jeanist," and "Edgeshot." The back view of Oboro Shirakumo, who was a classmate of Aizawa and Hizashi Yamada, is also depicted.

The main trailer includes action scenes featuring Koichi's improved sliding technique, Fat Gum, the newly introduced character Monica Kaniyashiki, and The Scarred Man.

Additionally, the opening theme has been decided as "CATCH!!!" by THREE, and the ending theme as "Miss You" by Shytaupe. Furthermore, it was announced that Kana Ueda will voice the role of Monica Kaniyashiki as a new cast member.
