Anime "Osananajimi to wa LoveCom ni Naranai" Broadcast Start Date Decided for January 5, 2026! Second PV & HoneyWorks' OP Unveiled

The first broadcast date for the anime "Osananajimi to wa LoveCom ni Naranai" has been decided for Monday, January 5, 2026, and the second main PV has been released. Additionally, the opening theme performed by HoneyWorks and streaming information have been unveiled, along with the release of a Christmas illustration.

This work is a "hottest childhood friend romantic comedy" by Shinya Misu, currently serialized to great acclaim in "Magazine Pocket" (Kodansha), depicting a sweet, frustrating, and honest romance with a childhood friend.

It will be broadcast sequentially on the TV Tokyo network of 6 stations, AT-X, and BS Nippon TV, and will also be available for the fastest web streaming on d Anime Store and AnimeFesta. The second main PV depicts the feelings of love quietly beginning to stir from a childhood friend relationship that seemed stagnant, and the characters wavering between love and friendship.

The opening theme has been decided as "Ai Love You▽," an original song written by the creator unit HoneyWorks. The vocals will be performed by "HoneyWorks meets Shio Minamo, Akari Hiodoshi, Runa Tsukimi, Haru Hinata (CV: Rin Kusumi, Yu Serizawa, Sae Hiratsuka, Yuki Yamamoto)," with the cast members who play the heroines in the series taking charge. HoneyWorks has commented on the song, saying it is "a track packed tightly with cuteness and heart-throbbing excitement," and a portion of the audio can be heard in the released second main PV.

Streaming information has also been announced. On d Anime Store and AnimeFesta, the "On-Air ver." will be streamed at the fastest time every Monday at 24:30 starting from January 5, 2026, and exclusive streaming of the "Puchi Doki ver." with some restrictions lifted for certain episodes will also be conducted. On other streaming services, distribution will begin sequentially from January 9.

Furthermore, various campaigns and events will be held prior to the broadcast. A present campaign using a Christmas illustration drawn by Shinya Misu will be implemented, with framed illustrations and clear files available through lottery, and wallpaper images are scheduled to be distributed on December 24 and 25. Additionally, on AT-X, it has been decided that a mini video project titled "'Osalove' Cast's Romantic Comedy Special," featuring the cast, will be broadcast after the main content of each anime episode.
