First PV for TV Anime "Medalist" Season 2 Released! Opening Theme Song Decided to be HANA's "Cold Night"

The first PV for TV anime "Medalist" Season 2, which will begin broadcasting on Saturday, January 24, 2026, was released on December 9. At the same time, it was announced that the opening theme song for the series will be "Cold Night," a new song by the seven-member girl group HANA.

"Cold Night," which was chosen as the opening theme song, features lyrics and music by Chanmina. Created as a cheer song to encourage those taking steps toward their dreams, it is a track that aligns with the worldview of the anime, which depicts challenges and growth set against the backdrop of figure skating. A portion of the song can be heard in this PV.

The song will be digitally distributed on Saturday, January 24, the day the anime begins broadcasting, and will be released on CD on Wednesday, January 28. The CD will be a single complete production limited edition format, released in a "record-size specification" that is larger than usual. The jacket will feature an original illustration of the main character, Inori Yuitsuka, striking a HANA pose, and the visual will be revealed at a later date.
