"This Time Denji Offers the Umbrella" – Chainsaw Man The Movie Reze Arc 7th Visitor Gift Features Brand-New Illustration Full of Emotional Impact, Fans Are Ecstatic!

On December 16th, the official Chainsaw Man X account announced the 7th visitor gift for Chainsaw Man The Movie Reze Arc. The emotional impact of the newly drawn illustration released alongside the information has garnered a tremendous response from many fans.

Chainsaw Man is an anime based on the comic (written by Tatsuki Fujimoto) whose second part has been serialized on Shonen Jump+ since July 13, 2022. The TV series aired from October to December 2022, and Chainsaw Man The Movie Reze Arc has been screening in theaters since September 19th.

The 7th visitor gift, "Memorial Collection," will include previously drawn illustrations by original author Tatsuki Fujimoto, theme song artist Kenshi Yonezu, and staff members. It also incorporates rare content such as a new interview with Fujimoto after viewing the film and illustrations revealed at overseas events.

Since this marks the information release of the final announced gift at this point, fans have enthusiastically responded with comments like "Wait, Yonezu-san too!?!?!" "You've done it...!" "I want it so badly" and "Thank you for this wonderful Christmas present from the official team."

Along with details of the 7th gift, the cover illustration newly drawn by character designer Kazutaka Sugiyama and the illustration page image newly drawn by main animator Shouichi have also been revealed.

Among these, Shouichi's newly drawn illustration depicts an "if" situation of Denji & Reze during their middle school days, and the content of the illustration showing Denji offering an umbrella to Reze has prompted reactions feeling the emotional impact, with comments like "In the main story, Reze came to take shelter from the rain, but this time Denji is offering the umbrella."

Additionally, opinions focusing on the connection to the lyrics of "KICK BACK," the opening theme song for the Chainsaw Man TV series created by Yonezu, were also observed, with comments such as "Give me that umbrella before saying there's no rain that won't stop... Is that what this means!?"
