The anime "Kingdom" is based on the hugely popular manga by Yasuhisa Hara, which has surpassed 120 million copies in total circulation. It is an epic historical drama set in China during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, depicting the exploits of Shin, a young boy aiming to become a Great General of the Heavens, and Ei Sei (CV: Jun Fukuyama), the young king who would later become the First Emperor of China. The TV anime's first season began airing in 2012, and the fourth live-action film "Kingdom: The Return of the Great General," released in 2024, recorded box office revenue of 8 billion yen.

Synopsis:
In the midst of chaotic battle, the detached force led by Shin breaks through between the Ma Kou Army and the Gaku Ka Unit, launching a surprise attack on Ki Sui's main camp. Just as they corner Ki Sui, the tide of battle turns when Ri Boku himself appears as a "lethal detached force"! The Ma Kou Army falls into danger of total collapse due to Ri Boku's unexpected strike. Shin and his forces, having joined with the Gaku Ka Unit led by Mō Ten, launch a strategy under Mō Ten's command to restore the Ma Kou Army's fighting strength and prevent the army's collapse!
