Anime "Liar Game" Confirmed for April Broadcast! Second Teaser Visual Revealed & Nao and Akiyama's Voices Unveiled for the First Time in PV

It has been announced that the TV anime "Liar Game" will be broadcast from April 2026 on TV Tokyo networks and BS TV Tokyo. Additionally, the second teaser visual and a teaser PV featuring character voices have been newly released.

"Liar Game" is a manga work by Shinobu Kaitani that was serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha) from 2005 to 2015. While it has been adapted into various media in the past, including live-action dramas, films, and stage productions, this marks the first time it will be adapted into a TV anime. Animation production will be handled by Madhouse, the studio behind "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" and "Orb: On the Movements of the Earth."

The main cast has been announced, with Saya Hitomi playing the role of the kind-hearted female college student Nao Kanzaki, and Takeo Otsuka playing the role of the former genius con artist Shinichi Akiyama. The music will be composed by Yugo Kanno, who commented, "I attempted to build a new world of 'Liar Game' through music that differs from the live-action version."

Additionally, to commemorate the April broadcast announcement, a follow & repost campaign is being held on the official X account until December 28, 2025, where participants can win posters with handwritten signatures from the cast.
