"The Apothecary Diaries" is an anime adaptation of the light novel of the same name by Natsu Hyuuga. It's a major hit that has also been adapted into manga in two monthly magazines. The mystery drama featuring Maomao working as a "poison taster" in the rear palace, as well as the comical exchanges between Maomao and Jinshi, became hugely popular and generated significant buzz. The TV anime has been broadcast through Season 2, and Season 3 has been announced to air in a split two-cour format starting in October 2026 and April 2027. Additionally, the series' first theatrical film is scheduled for release in December 2026. Starting in November 2025, "The Apothecary Diaries" TV anime exhibition will tour Asian cities, with its popularity continuing to grow worldwide.
