Anime "Oblivion Battery" Season 2 Confirmed for 2027 Broadcast! Voice-Included Video Released Featuring Toshiki Masuda, Mamoru Miyano, Yūki Kaji, and More

It has been announced that Season 2 of the TV anime "Oblivion Battery" will be broadcast in 2027. Along with this announcement, a teaser visual, which is the first anime artwork for Season 2, and a reveal video have been released.

"Oblivion Battery" is a manga series by Eko Mikawa, currently serialized in Shueisha's "Shonen Jump+". The series has gained popularity for its drama that depicts the realities of high school baseball centered around a protagonist with memory loss, as well as its exquisite balance of comedy and serious elements. The original manga has exceeded 400 million cumulative views within the app, and Season 1 of the anime also garnered strong support.

The teaser visual reveal video released this time features newly recorded voices by Toshiki Masuda as Haruka Kiyomine, Mamoru Miyano as Kei Kaname, Yōhei Azakami as Aoi Todo, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Shunpei Chihaya, and Yūki Kaji as Taro Yamada.

Additionally, the "Oblivion Event Project" will launch in preparation for the Season 2 broadcast. In April 2026, a "TV Anime 2nd Anniversary Commemorative Double Play Special Program" will be streamed, followed by a "Season 1 Retrospective Screening Relay" with stage greetings at theaters in the summer of the same year, and a large-scale event "Season 2 Kickoff Event" is scheduled to be held in the autumn.
