Anime "Mission: Yozakura Family" Season 2 Teaser PV Released! Kaito Ishikawa to Play Self-Proclaimed Loser Spy Sōsuke Michibata

A teaser PV has been released for Season 2 of the TV anime "Mission: Yozakura Family," which will begin broadcasting in April 2026. Additionally, it has been announced that Kaito Ishikawa will join the cast as Sōsuke Michibata.

"Mission: Yozakura Family" is an anime adaptation based on the popular manga by Hitsuji Gondaira, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha). The story follows Taiyō Asano, an extremely shy high school student who marries into the Yozakura family to protect the life of his childhood friend Mutsumi Yozakura, the daughter of the strongest spy family. As he is tossed around by his unique in-laws, he grows into a full-fledged spy in this heartwarming and comedic spy family story. The manga has surpassed 3.6 million copies in circulation, and its serialization concluded in January 2025 after approximately five and a half years, creating a major buzz.

The newly released Season 2 teaser PV depicts the story accelerating, featuring the heroine Mutsumi Yozakura (CV: Kaede Hondo) giving a rallying cry, the Silver Rank spy examination, and the appearance of new characters.

The newly announced cast member Kaito Ishikawa will play Sōsuke Michibata, Taiyō's classmate and a self-proclaimed loser spy with an extremely low presence. Ishikawa shared comments expressing his enthusiasm for the role, describing the character as "a delightful character who throws the story into chaos" and hoping that viewers "will enjoy watching him."
