Rin Kusumi, Yū Serizawa, and Cast Discuss Their "Real Views on Romance"! Report from the Advance Screening Event of the Anime "You Can't Be In a Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends!"

"Real Views on Romance" Explode!? Romance Stories and Rom-Com Clichés... Great Excitement with Girl Talk

In the latter half of the event, talk segments related to the work were held: "Romance Stories Yes or No" and "Rom-Com Clichés That Hit Home for Me." In response to the question "What if you and your friend like the same person?", Kusumi and Serizawa answered "wouldn't give up," while Hiratsuka and Yamamoto responded "would give up." To the question "Do you want to confess first?", the three except Yamamoto answered "want them to tell me they like me," revealing each person's views on romance, which drew laughter and empathy from the audience. Next, in "Rom-Com Clichés That Hit Home for Me," Serizawa mentioned situations like "being locked in the gym storage room," Yamamoto cited "mistaking a second-floor window for the entrance," while Kusumi said "I end up liking the losing heroine," and Hiratsuka shared "sudden rain while out together as a couple, and then taking shelter from the rain," showcasing the cast's "points of heart-fluttering moments."

At the end of the event, the cast members delivered messages. Yamamoto said, "Haru-chan (Haru Hinata) and Runako (Runa Tsukimi) will also appear after this, so I hope you'll look forward to it until the end." Hiratsuka commented, "Please watch the work while putting yourself in Eーyū's shoes." Serizawa said, "It's become a work that you can watch at a good pace, so please watch it." Kusumi remarked, "It's so cute that I couldn't help but let out 'Kawaii!' during recording, so I'd be happy if you support Eーyū and the four heroines," and the event concluded on a successful note.

Additionally, as new information, a Space radio project on the official program X was announced. The first episode will be streamed on December 26 at 9 PM, with Urao as the personality and Kusumi as the guest. The TV anime broadcast will begin on January 5, 2026, airing every Monday at 24:00 on the TV Tokyo 6-station network. On d Anime Store and AnimeFesta, the "Puchi Doki ver." with some restrictions removed will also be exclusively streamed. The opening theme has been decided as "Airabyū♡" by HoneyWorks, and the ending theme as "Amanojaku" by Hikari Codama, with CDs scheduled for release on January 28.

Furthermore, footage of this talk event is scheduled to be streamed on December 23 at 7 PM on TV Tokyo's anime-specialized YouTube channel "TV Tokyo Official Aniterechannel."
