On December 25th, manga artist Kentaro Yabuki published an illustration of Yui Kotegawa, the heroine from his representative work "To Love-Ru", on X. The illustration of Yui in a Santa outfit has garnered significant reactions.
"To Love-Ru" is a romantic comedy that was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, with a sequel "To Love Ru: Darkness" also produced, and the comic was also adapted into an anime.
The adorable art style of creator Kentaro Yabuki and the service scenes that pushed the limits of what Jump could show have been supported by many fans, and the series continues to enjoy unwavering popularity even today, appearing in pachinko slot machines and as collaboration content in mobile app games.
The illustration attached to the post features Yui Kotegawa, one of the heroines of "To LOVEru", dressed in a Santa costume.
Although Yui is a serious and strong-willed disciplinary committee member, true to the "To LOVEru" world, she has shown numerous provocative shots throughout the series, and fans sometimes describe her as "the disciplinary committee member who disrupts discipline the most". In this illustration as well, she was quite disruptive to discipline, showing a largely exposed chest area.
Fans who favor Yui were overjoyed by such an appearance, commenting "It's Kotegawa Santa~", "Santa Yui-chan is so cute", and "I knew Kotegawa-san would do this kind of thing for us". There were also lively reactions playing on Yui's signature line "Indecent!", with comments like "Indecent Santa costume!" and "Indec... what a cute Santa".
