The "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" anime series is based on the manga of the same name by Koyoharu Gotoge, which was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from 2016 to 2020. Set in the Taisho era, it depicts the battle of a boy named Tanjiro Kamado (CV: Natsuki Hanae) whose family was killed by demons.

The TV anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc," which began airing in April 2019, quickly became a hot topic, and the sequel film "Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train" surpassed 50 billion yen in worldwide box office revenue. The original manga has surpassed 220 million copies in worldwide cumulative circulation, becoming a mega-hit that will remain in Japanese manga and anime history.

Following the "Unwavering Resolve Arc," the TV anime has aired the "Entertainment District Arc," "Swordsmith Village Arc," and "Hashira Training Arc," and the climactic episodes "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle" have been announced as a trilogy. "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle Chapter 1 - Akaza's Return" has been showing since July 18, 2025, and in November, it was announced that the worldwide box office revenue surpassed 106.3 billion yen. On the Aniplex YouTube channel, character commercials using footage from the film have been released for 8 consecutive weeks starting November 1, 2025.
