Although "Takopi's Original Sin" is renowned as a so-called "depressing anime," many fans seem to have been moved by the farewell scene between Takopi and Shizuka, thanks in part to the passionate performances of the voice actors. Voices of praise poured in, saying "I definitely cried my eyes out," "I successfully cried my eyes out," "The voice actors' performances really hit my tear ducts," and "There were many painful scenes, but I was also moved."

The anime "Takopi's Original Sin" (6 episodes in total) is based on a popular manga by Taizan 5. When serialization began on "Shonen Jump+" in 2021, it recorded the highest number of views among serialized works at that time, and despite being completed in just 2 volumes, the comic book circulation exceeded 1.45 million copies. The story unfolds from the point where Takopi, a Happy alien who has descended to Earth to spread happiness, meets Shizuka, a girl who has some circumstances at home and school. The opening theme song "Happy Lucky Chappy," written by singer-songwriter ano, also became a hot topic.
