On December 31, 2025, the official Chainsaw Man X account announced that "Chainsaw Man The Movie Reze Arc" has surpassed 10 billion yen in domestic box office revenue. The newly drawn illustration and comment by the original author, Tatsuki Fujimoto, released alongside the announcement have garnered significant reactions from fans.
"Chainsaw Man" is an anime based on a manga (written by Tatsuki Fujimoto) whose second part has been serialized on "Shonen Jump+" since July 13, 2022. The TV series aired from October to December 2022, and "Chainsaw Man The Movie Reze Arc" has been screening since September 19. Additionally, production of the sequel "Chainsaw Man Assassin Arc" has been confirmed.
"Chainsaw Man The Movie Reze Arc" has surpassed 6.55 million attendees and 10 billion yen in domestic box office revenue over the 103 days from its release until December 30, 2025. Along with the announcement of these records, a message of gratitude from Tatsuki Fujimoto and a newly drawn illustration of Denji and Reze have been released.
In his message, Fujimoto stated, "I'm still dragging it with me even now!" Fans flooded in with comments such as "Even the author himself is suffering from DenReze loss lol," "Suspicion that the author is the one dragging it the most (lol)," "The fact that even the author himself is still dragging it shows how amazing Reze really is," and "That's our line."
The illustration depicts Reze watching Denji from a window as he leaves a café. It can be interpreted as a single scene that wasn't depicted in the film, but it can also be seen as content similar to the "Denji & Reze if scenarios" that have been drawn multiple times in the theatrical release entry bonuses up to this point.
Regarding this illustration, fans who noticed that Denji's left hand is not depicted have raised the analysis that "This is like, marriage!" suggesting that "the wedding ring is deliberately drawn outside the frame."
