The production of a sequel to the anime "Kingdom" Season 6 has been confirmed. Additionally, visuals of the Mountain King Yō Tan Wa and her right-hand man Bajio have been unveiled.

The anime "Kingdom" is based on the immensely popular manga by Yasuhisa Hara, which has surpassed 120 million copies in circulation. This epic historical drama is set in China during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, depicting the exploits of Shin, a young boy aiming to become a Great General of the Heavens, and Ei Sei, a young king who would later become the First Emperor of China. The TV anime's first series began airing in 2012, and the fourth live-action film "Kingdom: Taishōgun no Kikan" (Kingdom: Return of the Great General), released in 2024, recorded box office earnings of 8 billion yen.

Season 6 of the anime concluded with Episode 13, "Taishōgun no Keshiki" (The Scenery of a Great General), which aired on December 27, 2025. The State of Qin formed a coalition army consisting of the Ō Sen Army, the Kan Ki (Huan Yi) Army, and the Yō Tan WaArmy to begin the conquest of "Gyou," a fortress in the Zhao homeland, toward the unification of China. Young generals such as Shin, Ō Hon, and Mō Ten  also participated in battle, and fierce combat against the State of Zhao unfolded.

In the confirmed sequel, the battle over Gyou will become even more brutal. The newly unveiled visuals depict the Mountain King Yō Tan Wa and Bajio covered in blood and wounds. In the sequel, a battle of pride between Yō Tan Wa, who rules the mountain people with high charisma, and Rozo, the king who unites the descendants of the "Quanrong," a foreign tribe that destroyed the Zhou Dynasty in Ryōyō of the State of Zhao, will become key to the story.

Additionally, two special videos looking back on Season 6 have been released on the official "Kingdom" anime YouTube channel. These are special videos linked to the worldviews of the opening theme "Ikite, Sansan" by Ikimonogakari and the ending theme "Hōkō" by Sora Tomonari.
