[Setlist Included] Song Selection by Sugoroku!? Poppin'Party New Year LIVE “Happy BanG Year!!” Event Report

On January 3, 2026, Poppin'Party New Year LIVE “Happy BanG Year!!” was held at the Tokyo Garden Theater.

The show opened with the members showcasing their kakizome (New Year’s calligraphy) before starting the performance with their 1st Single title track, “Yes! BanG_Dream!” During the following MC, it was announced that the setlist for the night would be determined by the squares of a sugoroku (board game). When the game landed on the “Hatsumode” (First Shrine Visit) square, the performance of the second song, “What’s the POPIPA!?” featured a moment during the bridge where all members offered prayers in front of a stage set designed like a torii gate.

The game progressed through the squares. In the middle of the set, the venue showed great excitement as the band performed the live debuts of two songs back-to-back: “Setsunai Sandglass” and their latest single’s title track, “Drive Your Heart.” For the final stretch of the main set, the “New Year Marathon Challenge” square saw the band perform four songs in one go—from the 9th track “Time Lapse” to the 12th “Poppin' Dream!”—bringing the performance to its conclusion before the encore.

At the start of the encore, the sugoroku board reset to the starting square, leading to a repeat performance of “Yes! BanG_Dream!” Following this, a video message from Aina Aiba (the voice of Roselia’s Yukina Minato) was played. She announced that both Poppin'Party and Roselia will release new singles simultaneously on April 29.

Immediately after, Poppin'Party performed their first cover of Roselia's “FIRE BIRD,” bringing the venue's enthusiasm to its peak. The night concluded with the high-energy song “TARINAI.” The New Year celebration, filled with Poppin'Party’s signature style, ended amidst great applause.

Looking ahead, Poppin'Party’s schedule includes the BanG Dream! 10th Anniversary LIVE “In the name of BanG Dream!” on February 28, and a joint live with Roselia on May 3.
