It has been confirmed that the "Limited-Time Production Edition" of King Gnu’s upcoming single "AIZO"—the opening theme for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: The Culling Game Part 1—will feature a special anime jacket illustrated by the original manga creator, Gege Akutami.

The newly drawn artwork is a star-studded visual featuring the protagonist, Yuji Itadori, along with various characters who play pivotal roles in the Culling Game Arc. Adding to its premium feel, the physical package will be released in an oversized 12-inch LP format, making it a true collector's item with a powerful presence.

The third season of Jujutsu Kaisen will premiere on January 8 with a one-hour special, airing Episode 48 ("Execution") and Episode 49 ("Once More") back-to-back. Fans won't have to wait long to blast the new track; "AIZO" will be available on streaming platforms starting at midnight on January 9, immediately following the broadcast. The physical CD single is slated for release on February 11.

Jujutsu Kaisen is based on the hit manga by Gege Akutami, which was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump for approximately six and a half years, from March 2018 to September 2025. Following the first TV season in 2020, the franchise's first film, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, became a global phenomenon, grossing 26.5 billion yen worldwide. The second season, covering the "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" and "Shibuya Incident" arcs in 2023, also garnered a massive international following. 2025 has been a year of looking back and looking forward, with recap films and revival screenings leading up to the current theatrical release of Jujutsu Kaisen: Shibuya Incident Special Compilation x Culling Game Preview in Japan.

Starting January 8, 2026, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: The Culling Game Part 1 will be broadcast nationwide across 28 MBS/TBS affiliated stations during the "Super Animeism TURBO" block every Thursday at 12:26 AM JST.
