It's a major hit that has also been adapted into manga in two monthly magazines and a manga magazine app. The mystery stories by Maomao, who works as a "poison taster" in the rear palace, and the comical exchanges between Maomao and Jinshi have gained popularity and become a major topic of discussion. The TV anime has been broadcast up to its second season, and it has been announced that the third season will be broadcast in split two-cours starting in October 2026 and April 2027. Additionally, the series' first theatrical film is scheduled to be released in December 2026.
