So Emotional... 'Oshi No Ko' Season 3 Premiere Opens with New Song by "B-Komachi," Massive Response to Track Featuring "Sign wa B" Phrase: "Got Goosebumps from 'Your Idol'"

The third season of the anime Oshi No Ko, which began airing on January 14th, opened with a special OP featuring the new song "B no Revenge" by the in-story idol group "Shin-sei B-Komachi" (New B-Komachi). Phrases linked to past songs seemed to touch viewers' hearts, with reactions like "Got goosebumps from 'Your Idol'" and "Otaku love when lyrics and melodies from past songs are referenced like this..."

Episode 25 "Irekomis" (Obsession), the first episode of Season 3, depicted B-Komachi's one-man live featuring Hoshino Ruby (CV: Ikoma Yurie), Arima Kana (CV: Han Megumi), and MEM-cho (CV: Okubo Rumi) as a special OP. At the one-man live, their new song "B no Revenge" was performed.

Singer-songwriter Oishi Masayoshi, who handled the lyrics and composition for this track, also worked on B-Komachi's past song "Sign wa B." As Oishi commented, "I sampled the melody of 'Sign wa B' in the song and incorporated various tricks into the lyrics!" elements reminiscent of "Sign wa B," such as the phrase "Your Idol," are scattered throughout.

Many viewers seemed to grin at the stylish trick, with excitement building: "Got chills when the phrase from Sign wa B came in!"
