[Photos/Images] One Day Until Season 3 Broadcast: Director Tomoya Kitagawa's Lively Tavern Illustration for Anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" Receives Massive Response 1st

The official X account for the anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" has released a countdown illustration with just one day remaining until the start of Season 3 broadcast, sparking major discussion among fans.

The released illustration was drawn by Director Tomoya Kitagawa. It depicts a scene where characters from the series gather around tables in a tavern, each enjoying drinks and meals in their own way. The composition uses a bird's-eye view perspective from near the ceiling, resulting in a single image that vividly conveys the lively atmosphere inside the establishment. While each character enjoys food and drinks at their tables, the meticulously detailed banquet scene is particularly striking, featuring Heiter (CV: Hiroki Tochi) with his face completely red from drunkenness, and Lawine (CV: Sayumi Suzushiro) and Kanne (CV: Azumi Waki) engaged in a wrestling match.

In response to this post, fans have shared comments such as "Lord Heiter is totally wasted!", "Such a fun illustration!", "All-star illustration, so enjoyable!", "Just one more day until broadcast!", and "Seriously, such an amazing drawing."

"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is a manga work with original story by Kanehito Yamada and artwork by Tsukasa Abe. Currently serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday," it has won the 14th Manga Taisho Award and the 25th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize New Creator Award. This fantasy is set in the world "after" the hero's party defeated the Demon King, following Frieren, an elf mage who has lived for over a thousand years, on her "journey to understand human hearts." Season 2 of the anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" will begin terrestrial broadcast on January 16.
