It has been decided that an original soundtrack will be released for the second season of the anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," which will begin airing on January 16th.

"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is a manga work with story by Kanehito Yamada and art by Tsukasa Abe. Currently serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday," it has won the 14th Manga Taisho Award and the 25th Osamu Tezuka Cultural Prize New Creator Prize. This fantasy is set in the world "after" the Demon King was defeated by the hero's party, following Frieren, an elf mage who has lived for over a thousand years, on her "journey to understand human hearts."

Continuing from the first season, the background music is composed by Evan Call. In the first season, his compositions that added depth to Frieren and her companions' journey were highly praised, and in the second season as well, new background music by Call has been created and will be included in this soundtrack.

The jacket visual that was revealed simultaneously depicts Frieren sitting by the waterside in dappled sunlight, braiding Fern's hair. The fantastical scene features Fern looking toward the viewer against a backdrop of lush green nature and a sparkling, reflective water surface. This composition is contrasted with the first season soundtrack jacket released in April 2024 (which showed Fern sleeping in the shade of a tree and Frieren supporting her while gazing at her), making it enjoyable to compare with the first season.

The product will come in a deluxe specification, including bonus items such as a sticker featuring the jacket visual, a booklet containing a background music production photo gallery, and a three-way interview.
