Kendo Kobayashi Voices Senior Comedian Ken-san in 'Jujutsu Kaisen': "I Was Convinced It Would Absolutely Be Me"

The TV anime 'Jujutsu Kaisen' Season 3 "Culling Game Arc Part 1" has been airing since January 8th. It was announced that comedian Kendo Kobayashi voiced the character "Ken-san (male comedian role)" who appeared in Episode 50 (Season 3, Episode 3) that aired on January 15th.

Ken-san is a senior comedian to Fumihiko Takaba, an unsuccessful comedian who appears in the series. In an official interview released regarding his appearance, Kendo Kobayashi commented, "From the moment Ken-san appeared in the manga, I thought 'that's absolutely me.'" While he had been publicly declaring to those around him that "the role of Ken-san will absolutely come to me!", he revealed that when the offer actually came, he felt pressure, saying "things have gotten serious."

Additionally, following Episode 50's various explanations about the "Culling Game" by Tengen, a video titled "'Understand in 3 Minutes!' 'Culling Game' Strategy Video" was released to explain the complex settings and situations in an easy-to-understand manner. The video focuses on three points: "Yuji and company's objectives," "each character's movements," and "Kenjaku's objectives."
